Manifolds are used to distribute hot water to the various rooms in a radiant heating system. Hot supply water from the boiler flows into the manifold where an actuator valve allows this water to be sent to a room "in demand". The actuator valve is controlled by the system control system which received information from room thermostats and other house sensors.
