It's a scientific fact that heat moves from warmer to cooler surfaces.

With traditional forced hot air systems, the room surfaces remain cold and pull heat away from the body, so you feel chilled and uncomfortable.

But radiant heating works by warming the exposed surfaces of a room, rather than the air itself, by circulating heated water through specially-formulated tubing installed beneath the floor, wall or ceiling. The heat then transfers or "radiates" to warm the room surfaces that you come in contact with, preventing the loss of body heat, so you stay warm and comfy from head to toe.
